Authentic, Unapologetically Me
It's amazing how life shapes us. Our family, various environments, and experiences create who we are today. Some good some bad, but they all play a part in the person we become.
The older I get, the easier it is to identify those situations and people that have shaped me into what I am today. When I go a layer deeper and judge these things against the word, I gain a clearer perspective and understanding on the questionable areas in my life. That is... I realize these things are not authentically me.
Don't get me wrong, not all areas need to be judged against Gods word. Some things are just wrong. Common sense will tell you that. I'm talking about behaviors and character traits. Things that we do, but don't understand why we do.
For years I had an internal conflict. I was trying to figure out who I was and what my purpose was. Am I really important? Does this world really need me? I found that the answer was yes.
So what changed? I was able to look into the word and find myself. I began to see and love myself the way that God loves and sees me. I began to accept the things about me that I didn't previously like about myself, I began to take strong characteristics that were misdirected and began to use them in a way that gave God glory. The way he intended for them to be used. I became unapologetically me.
We all have things about us that we wish we could changed. We have people we wish we could be like. I'm here to tell you, the world needs YOU. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. When God created you, He created something special. Delight in who you are. Get to know you and get to know your purpose.
The best way to learn how to operate a new piece of equipment is to read the instruction manual from the manufacturer. Our instruction manual is the Bible, our manufacturer is Father God. He is there 24/7 waiting for your call... No wait time... Just Him waiting on you.
